Joyflow is the ministry of Ross Schmidt and KyoungA Lee. Ross and KyoungA met in 2015 while serving together at a non-profit organization in Korea, and married two years later. In 2019, they moved to northern Thailand, where they perceived a need for high-quality Christian resources for believers of all ages, especially children. Desiring to meet that need, the next year Ross and KyoungA created a Bible study activity book for the children in the local Thai church they attended, entitled Into the Bible. At that time, they did not yet realize what this work would become, but as the demand continued for such resources, they continued to create. Upon the completion of their three-book Into the Bible mini-series, Ross and KyoungA knew that this was work God was calling them to do. Thus, they established Joyflow in earnest in 2021.
The overall design aesthetic and layout of Joyflow's resources are the work of KyoungA, who has a background in graphic design. Ross, who has been drawing since the age of two, is responsible for the illustrations. They consider themselves a perfect team, as each does what the other cannot. However, having mere skills and talents—God-given though they may be—is not enough for the work of teaching the living Word of the Creator of the Universe. Ross and KyoungA understood the weight of responsibility they had as they established Joyflow. Hence, that same year, Ross entered seminary to establish this new ministry on a reliable and theologically robust foundation. By God's grace, Ross graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2026 with a Master's of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies. Moreover, he has also been ordained as a minister of the Gospel in the Southern Baptist Convention. Since they began this work, God has continued to expand their horizons, open new doors, and equip them for work. Ross and KyoungA are, therefore, excited to see how he continues to work in and through them.

Currently, our books are available in Korean, Thai, Cambodian, Mongolian, and Spanish, with translation projects for other languages in progress. As all our content is original, we own the rights to everything (except the words of the Bible, of course!). We are more than happy to produce translations in new languages. If you have a language request and can provide translation help, we want to work together! Please contact us!
Our aim is to produce Christian content for those in need at the lowest cost to them as possible. However, we do not sell our books directly. In Korea, our books are available from Lifebook. In both Thailand and Cambodia, our books are available through the respective Bible Societies. The production, printing, and shipping of all other translations is made possible through the financial partnership of our supporters.
If you are interested in partnering with us, first of all, thank you! We are extremely blessed to be doing this work that God has given us to do, and we are happy that you want to join us! We need like-minded, like-hearted partners just as we need God’s grace to do this work. For more information about how you can partner with us, please contact us either on social media, using the links below, or through the contact form at the bottom of the homepage.
