Who We Are

Our Vision

True joy comes from knowing God. Knowing God is only possible through a relationship with him. A relationship with him is only possible by coming to saving faith in the work of his Son, Jesus Christ, on our behalf through the power of his Spirit. When we are in communion with God, our joy overflows!

It is our hope and prayer that every nation and people can experience this overflowing joy! As such, Joyflow exists to create theologically sound Christian content for children to effectively share and communicate the Gospel with the peoples and nations of the world.

Our Approach

Learning and studying about God and his word is far from boring and tedious, but, unfortunately, it can be made so. By producing colorful and attractive study books with a balance of Scripture and engaging activities, we work to present the Gospel and the stories of the Bible in a fun and enjoyable way.

Our Accomplishments

By God’s grace, we have been able to produce five books in four languages since our inception in 2020. We look forward to growing and creating more in the years to come and doing it all for God’s glory!

How did Joyflow get started?

This is a long story! In short, Joyflow was started in 2020 by Ross Schmidt and his wife, KyoungA Lee. With a combined 20+ years of experience in illustration and graphic design in addition to a heart for missions work in Thailand, they felt God calling them to use their gifts and abilities specifically to produce focused, high-quality, theologically sound Christian content for the peoples and nations who have limited or no access to such resources. They started by making one book meant for the children in their local church in Chiangrai, Thailand. Since then, God has expanded this work swiftly!

What languages are your books available in?

Currently, we have Korean, Thai, Mongolian, and Spanish translations of the first miniseries of books we produced entitled Into the Bible. We are in the process of producing more translations and pray that God will bless these endeavors (this is his work, after all). Our new series Jesus, Our Jesus is in Thai.

As all our content is original, we own the rights to everything (except the words of the Bible, of course!). We are more than happy to produce translations in new languages. If you have a language request and can provide translation help, we want to work together! Please contact us!

Can I purchase Joyflow books?

Our aim is to produce Christian content for those in need at the lowest cost to them as possible. However, we do not sell our books directly. In Korea, our books are available from Lifebook. In Thailand, our books are available through the Thailand Bible Society. The production, printing, and shipping of all other translations is made possible through the financial partnership of our supporters.
